One of the best-known gastronomic specialties of Zlatibor is pršuta, a smoked ham made of pork or beef.

Not only that a local appetizer cannot be served without pršuta, but there is also a fair dedicated to it. It takes place in Mačkat village in January, popular for pršuta production, and is usually visited by more than 10,000 people.

Smoked meat products can be found and tasted all over the West Serbia region.
